THE ADVENTURE BEGINS 7.7.2008

Tuesday 12:34 AM

Spotted on American Airlines Flight 108: A & M in the AM, midway through a redeye to London’s Heathrow airport. Will M & A have an M-A-zing time on the upcoming jaunt away from MA, or will they be Lon-DONE with each other. Only time will tell - and with Big Ben in the distance, they’ll be able to tell the time. Until the next update - toodeloo!

xoxo, gossip girl.

Tuesday 11:29 PM

(This update is not in the style of Gossip Girl.) Although it is technically the same day, it feels like a different one because we slept in the middle of the day. Today we visited Buckingham Palace and we are 90% sure that we saw the Queen. We have a video report on the subject:

We have also invented a small game: to capture pictures of people who look quintessentially, stereotypically British. Here is a prime example:

Also, we bumped into a guy wearing the same shirt as Alex.

THE ADVENTURE CONCLUDES 7.18.2008

Fig. A. The number of adaptors it takes to charge Alex’s iPhone here.

Fig. B. Alex could not go on this bridge because of the 5 “tonne” weight limit.

Until next time... toodeloo and stay classy... Max & Alex

Wednesday 10:17 PM

Although we has to forfeit several hundred dollars in hostel deposit fees, we decided to leave London early and take a trip on the Hogwarts Express.

We forfeited even more dollars at Harrod’s, England’s most famous upscale department store. This coffee cost me £4.20 - almost nine American dollars. It was delicious.

We also visited H&M’s flagship store and bought clothes that we could have gotten in Boston. But, it was still a good time. Afterwards, we had drinks with a guy and a girl from Australia and two girls from Canada, who are staying in our room at the hostel. We also met a girl (woman) from France. Although she spoke English, Alex was not able to communicate with her, while I was.

Until next time... keep the faith and check yoself before you wreck yoself... Max & Alex

Saturday 6:16 PM

We have now been in Paris for the better part of the day, but have done nothing but sleep, due to us being awake for almost 30 consecutive hours the day(s) before. I am updating this web site while Alex gets soap so that we can take a shower. Anyways, here are some highlights of our last days in London:

Fish & Chips

We ate some traditional English fish and chips, at a restaurant that is supposedly Anthony Hopkins’ favorite. It was delicious.

Abbey Road

A video report explains it all:

We went to Stonehenge

Patty: We did our best to feel the cosmic vortex.

Until next time... stay classy... Max & Alex.
